Art in the Age of Social Media

Art in the Age of Social Media

The world has changed immensely since I started my career. I remember when I opened my first gallery in Manhattan, it was a completely different game. Between foot traffic and word of mouth, it was all you needed. I remember, I took all my money and placed one ad in a popular national magazine and my business grew from that one ad. But times have changed! It is exciting to be able to reach your consumers directly, however, it is consistent and can be confusing! I am learning as I go, so I created my first video over the weekend. It was a very cool feeling being able to connect and create a new painting and create a video at once, and it was even better to see such positive feedback. I am seeing, when you are authentic and show who you truly are in your work, people respond well!

My family and I had a lot of fun creating the video. I couldn't believe a 60 second video could take so long to create but we had a LOT of laughs creating it. Here is a peek behind the scenes and stay tuned for more!

Give The Gift of Giclee

Give The Gift of Giclee

For the holiday season I have stocked the Gallery with an assortment of Giclees on Canvas, I even have a few matted prints on cotton paper. Giclees look almost exact to an original but at a fraction of the price and they make great gifts. I’ve always loved giving art as a gift because it is personal and unique and lasts a lifetime, it is a gift that can be passed down, it does not get worn our or thrown away and it always has value. Check out the website, I offer giclees in various sizes of all my artwork or if you are local stop by the gallery and shop our in store collection ready to hang!

Tomorrow we will be participating in a fundraiser for Hurricane Ian relief at Siena Grill, tickets are $100 and include an array passed apps and a drink.  All funds raised from ticket sales will be equally divided between the local chapters of catholic charities and the jewish federation of south palm beach county. There will also be raffles, including a $200 gift certificate to Gallery Mavruk and it is sure to be a fun night of doing good for our neighbors!

We will be selling various giclees and originals and donating 25% of each sale as well. Being a new business in Florida, we feel that giving back to the community that embraced us is imperative. Below is the link to the event and there is still time to buy tickets!

Painting Away...

Painting Away...
I am currently in my New York studio working on new art. I have been working on a few different pieces in between my commissioned works and I am hoping to finish them this trip. I've been so inspired by the reception my art has received that I can't stop painting. It really is a great feeling to find that inspiration and run with it. I am looking forward to unveiling it all once they are complete. Until then, I'll just be painting away...
