Highlighting Jewish Artists

Highlighting Jewish Artists

With Rosh Hashanah nearing next week, I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some incredible Jewish Artists that I have had the pleasure to work with, who's art I feature in my gallery. Our bestseller has been Yitzchak A. , my clients have really loved his work and I am also a big fan of his work.

Another great artist my clients have loved is Mira Eisen, not only is she kind but she is immensely talented and her art means so much to so many.

Brachi Horen is exceptional and her use of blues are both soothing and jarring at once, her art jumps off the canvas.

These are of course just a few of the artists, but there are so many talented Jewish artists to discover and celebrate. Thank you for your beautiful contribution to the art community and the world.

Can You Guess What I’m Working on?

Can You Guess What I’m Working on?

So I’ve spoken about the evolution of my art, all the different styles of painting I have done and continue to do. But I am excited to share a quick peek at what I am currently working on, my new mixed media collage piece! I dabbled in mixed media with my two graffiti pieces but this one is larger scale and much more in depth. There is a level of freedom when creating with mixed media, anything can become art. I feel so alive putting it together, the ideas are flowing! I am excited for everyone to see the finished product. Can you take a wild guess what the subject is?

Commissioned Art

Commissioned Art

The other day I posted a reel of a commissioned art I had done for a client. I talk A LOT about portraits, but that is not the only kind of custom art I can create. Often times my clients have an idea of what they want, and we can sit down and go over the idea and I can bring it to life on a canvas. Whether it is abstract, or realism, or pop art, we can figure it out together.
This specific piece of an idea a client had, it was a gift for a loved one. We talked about the initial idea, went over different pictures, expanded on the details, then I brought the idea to life. It was better than either of us imagined and it was truly a One-of-a-kind gift. I love being able to do that for my clients, the big reveal at the end is the best part. Have an idea? Let’s Talk!

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
I recently completed a portrait of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He was the founder of the Turkish republic, my home country. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Modernized Turkey, created a secular society, and gave women legal and civil freedom. Appointed woman the right to vote, to hold office. He was the first to create a day to honor children. As the first president of Turkey in 1923, he was a man ahead of his time and his contributions to not only the country of Turkey but also the world is admirable. I felt compelled to honor him and his contributions and to watch my granddaughter stand in awe of the portrait knowing the weight and the importance of his contributions to women’s rights was an incredible moment. I chose to share this today, August 30th is celebrated as Victory Day, it is the day of liberation when Turkey became a country at the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Together We Make a Difference

Together We Make a Difference

I would like to introduce my newest piece, but before I do, I want to explain my inspiration. This painting speaks to the power of the collective. How often we think, “I am just one person what can I do?” But when we come together to work towards a common goal, we have the power to make a difference.

“Back to Black” by Hulis Mavruk

 The details.

Amy Winehouse is enchanting to me, her voice, her talent, her soul. She really left her mark, and as an artist that resonates with me.
My hope is thar when people see this work, they realize  nothing is ever as it seems. We see a pretty package but often fail to understand how much work, how many little details, how many people come together to make it all happen. We are all one in the end, we are all powerful, just look at the difference we can make.
