What's Happening at Gallery Mavruk

As an artist with my own gallery I take a very hands on approach. This awards me the opportunity to work closely with my clients, which is what I love to do. Recently, I have clients come into the gallery looking for an abstract. I went to their home to see their decor and the space they intended to hang it. From there, we worked together to discuss a concept of colors and sizing and style. I began painting and allowed them to come in and see the progress and give input. I may be the artist but this was their commission and I wanted it to be exactly what they wanted. To make it even more special I had them paint certain parts of the painting as well, we documented the entire process and created a beautiful memory. Once it was finished, I custom framed the painting and delivered and hung it in their home. That piece now holds so many great memories and it is one of a kind and they helped paint it! We even created a video to capture the process. My goal with Gallery Mavruk is to truly immerse my clients in the art experience. We allow you to try art on your walls before purchasing, I create custom paintings and take feedback and input from clients, we help decide the frame, and exactly where it should hang. My family and I walk you through the entire process guide you in the areas of our expertise while also hearing your voice and bringing your vision to life. I have always said Art is the easiest and quickest way to redecorate a room. The piece you choose can change the feel of the entire space and is a powerful tool in creating an aesthetic. Take a look at these examples, they are in the same room but the vibe of the room changes with each piece.

Each piece of art is vastly different and gives a new feeling to the space it is in. I've advised my art collectors in the past to change out their artwork for each season to give a fresh new feeling to the space. Often times we run out of wall space which is unfortunate when you love art, but art is not on the walls permanently, it is easy to swap out each season to redecorate on the fly!

I’ve always felt it to be important to incorporate custom framing in my galleries. Frames have the ability to complete shift our focus and transform the image for better or worse. The right frame should bring out the painting, we find the focal point of a picture and choose a frame that will  celebrate it. The frame should never take away from the image it should only elevate it. 
When it comes to a wrapped painting on canvas, we love a floater frame. A floater frame goes behind and around the canvas to give the illusion that the canvas is floating inside the frame.

So what happens if the image is simple black and white? Does the frame have to be simple too?

The answer is No! 
We take into account, what does the image convey? For example, my black and white collection, although simple is glamorous. You can choose a simple frame and people have and it has looked great! But it is not your only option. Like I said, it’s old hollywood glamour, so a glamorous frame would take the painting up a notch!

Ok so, does it have to be black or white? Black or white is the standard and that is what you’ll often see, but it’s okay and encouraged to have fun with the frame as long as it fits the picture. My candy collection is bright and colorful with a white background, so a colorful frame looks great and fun!

Let's talk custom portraits. From my experience, portraits to my clients are priceless because they take a special memory and capture it in art forever. Often times, these portraits get passed down to future generations. When my grandson was one, he had photos taken and I painted one of those photos into a portrait. My grandson just turned six, and now looking at his portrait it is incredible how fast the time goes and how lucky that we have a piece of artwork that remember those early stages of his life that have flown by. They are only little for very little, but a piece of art to honor that time is forever. it is a memory that will always make you smile.

What makes my gallery unique is that my goal is to meet every individuals needs. SO what does that really mean? Well, everything can be customized, including how you shop. We have clients come into the gallery who find themselves overwhelmed, they pick what they like but what if it doesn't look good in the room? What if the sizing is wrong? My family and I understand that buying art is an investment, which means you should take your time and invest in what is right for you and we will never advise you otherwise. Our clients come into the gallery, or go on our website, and pick out the pieces they like and we bring them to your home so you can try them out on your walls, in different rooms, and figure out what works for you. Often times you'll be surprised and grateful that you tried it out first! We had a client recently, loved my kisses art, but couldn't figure out how to hang it. She had a twin bed and a full bed in her guest bedroom and as much as she loved the kisses, it looked unbalanced.  My son-in-law, who spearheads our luxury service, came up with the idea to create a double chocolate kiss painting to hang over the bed and the original  four kisses painting over the full. I created the image for her both hand enhanced giclees on canvas, we custom framed them, and my son in law went back to hang them for her and they looked great! The process was easy and smooth and stress free for our clients. We will always help you find the right piece for you and make it work. As an artist, my goal is to spread joy through my work.
